Richmond Lenox E.M.S. is your community owned Emergency Medical Service Provider.

Currently we staff 4 advanced life support ambulances with 15 full time and 29 part time employees. Our average response times are below 7 minutes and the quality of care our staff provides, exceeds industry standards.

Presently Richmond Lenox E.M.S. provides ambulance service to a 300 square mile area, stretching from New Haven to Emmett. It encompasses 8 Townships, 2 Cities and 2 Villages. The E.M.S. answers just over 3,000 calls for service each year and operates on a budget of 1.5 million dollars, three hundred and fifty thousand of which is paid in subsidies by the Communities we serve. The remainder is collected from insurance companies, patients, various grants and donations.

Over the past few years, Richmond Lenox E.M.S. through the communities donations and support, have renovated and expanded our headquarters and purchased defibrillators for all our area fire departments.

We now have 3 stations to serve our growing communities. Station # 1 (our headquarters) is located on 32 Mile Rd in Richmond Township, Station # 2 (1999) is located in the Richmond Township Offices on School Section Rd in Richmond Township, Station # 3 (2003) is located next to the Lenox Township Fire Station # 1 and the Lenox Township Department of Public Works Building in Lenox Township.

Other services offered by your local E.M.S. include Community Safety, First Aid Classes, CPR Classes, Free Blood Pressure Screenings, Community Blood Drives and Life Line Emergency Call Access. We have also been and remain very involved in lobbying for Community Public Safety.
